Human Hazards Workshop - Auckland
NZISM Auckland Branch - Professional Development Workshop
Novotel Ellerslie 14 July 2006
It's Bastille Day - 14 July - and just like in the chaotic times of the infamous French Revolution, our current business models and workplace conditions are in upheaval - constantly and dramatically changing, placing unprecedented demands on workers and managers alike.
The squeeze is on - Now most organisations are experiencing constant streamlining, blurring of roles and multi-skilling. As technology advances, customer expectations rise, including much shorter time-frames, and economic pressures often mean fewer people are required to accomplish much more in dramatically reduced time. As the rate of change becomes faster, many employees stuggle to cope mentally and emotionally.
Now an epidemic of 'human hazards' has emerged, which many employers are not equipped to deal with, and in many cases are unwittingly a part of the problem themselves.
With this professional development workshop, health & safety practitioners and managers now have the opportunity to learn from key experts in the emerging field of 'human hazards' and explore practical ways to identify and respond to this important occupational health & safety issue in today's workplace.
