This is an Auckland based autonomous position that will play a critical role in the implementation of the Viterra Safety Health and Environmental (SH&E) program and support the identification, investigation and resolution of SHE issues and incidents.
You will take responsibility for providing accurate and appropriate advice in relation to safety and environmental issues across the New Zealand operations of Viterra.
The key responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to):
¨ Provide advice on the implementation of corporate safety systems.
¨ Develop, facilitate and maintain training programmes for SHE systems.
¨ Establish, implement, maintain and monitor an environmental management system for New Zealand operations.
¨ Implement SHE Strategic Plans to facilitate compliance with legislation and company policies
To be successful in this role you will have:
¨ Relevant experience as a Safety Professional in a medium to large manufacturing organisation
¨ Tertiary qualification in OHS (preferably Degree or Graduate Diploma level)
¨ Extensive knowledge of New Zealand OHS Legislation and Codes of Practice
¨ Understanding of ACC, rehabilitation and return to work requirements
